VINTAGE HAGSTROM 111 ELECTRIC GUITAR

SERIAL NUMBER  624987

I am the proud owner of this vintage Hagstrom 111 guitar The pickups are round cornered & it has a switch plate so I believe it is a 1964 to 1967 vintage year, as the later models have square cornered pickups & no switch plate.

I've owned this guitar since the early seventies but am not the original owner. I can't guarantee that every switch, knob and wire are original, but nothing has changed in the last 40 years

See Condition description listed above. Guaranted to be as shown and described. Plays great with super low action.

Why is this guitar special? This is a vintage Hagstrom with a unique super cool electronics setup and an absolute killer old-school look.

The most noticeable features of this guitar are the line of switches that are below the pickups. The first three are on/off switches for each pickup,

making it incredibly easy to select which pickups you’d like to use, but also gives a few extra combination choices that a standard 5-way switch doesn’t have,

such as a combo of the neck & bridge, or all pickups simultaneously activated. The next three are composed of a tone switch to roll off the highs,

a mute switch acting like a small pad, and the last tone switch acting like a high-pass filter. Also, a main on/off which acts like a kill switch,

this setup offers supreme control over this vintage axe.  the slim neck is incredibly easy to play,

with super low action and the blue finish is ultimately one well-defined Swedish Hagstrom III axe.

Electronics Functions: Hagstrom single-coil pickups. 1 x master on/off, 1 x neck pickup on/off switch, 1 x middle pickup on/off switch,

1 x bridge pickup on/off switch, 1 x 2-way tone switch, 1 x 2-way mute switch, 1 x 2-way top switch. 1 x master volume control.

All switches are fully functional including the On-Off switch. Volume pot & volume knob that are working properly.

Tuning gears are all original & in excellent working condition.

All original working single pole pickups that give you that unique special original vintage Hagstrom professional garage band mojo sound.

There are some light scratches, dents, small chips & slight schrinkage in the wood lamination & lacquer finish which is common for a solid body Hagstrom.

This guitar is approximately 50 years old but still well preserved with all of its vintage mojo. These conditions are fully visible in the photos.

The neck is straight with lightly used playing wear on the back of the neck & is smooth and fast with low action.

The Hagstrom H style adjustable truss rod is in perfect working order.

The frets show quick fret leveling & have no string grooves, you can bend the strings easily. The bridge is all original and fully adjustable.

This is a rare original Hagstrom IlI with an original Hagstrom tremolo & bridge. See Condition description listed above

This guitar has a beautiful lacquer finish that still has lusterous shine in the finish, but still has that professional road use mojo going for it.

If you haven't owned or played a Hag 111 you don't know the treat your missing when you pick one up and play all of the numerous unique special awesome,

vintage mojo tones and sounds only a Hag 111 can produce!! Plug it into an excellent tube amp and see what I mean.
