This ornamental door knocker is a lovely piece and fun to use
The black and white woodpecker has red colouring around the crown of his head and has a grey beak, legs and feet
His claws on his feet are gripping on to wall mountable base which is shaped and painted to be a tree
This tree base has a hole where the woodpecker's beak enters into to create the wood pecking effect when the pull chain is pulled
The door knocker has 2 screw holes, one at the top and at the bottom of the tree which the woodpecker is perched upon and pecking into when knocked

The door knocker has lovely great detailing featured on the bird and the mounted part that is resembling a tree
The chain has a star shaped bronze colour weight at the bottom
The chain when pulled down creates a lever action which causes the woodpecker to move. His beak drives into the hole on the tree base representing the wood pecking action
