This is a map of the town of Redding, Fairfield County, Connecticut from 1942.  This is in the middle of World War II and America was united in winning the war! Recently reproduced on fine natural color parchment, this map is 11"x 17" and suitable to fit a standard size frame or can be matted to fit a larger museum quality mat. Contained on this map are finely detailed locations of some of the homeowners of Redding with the village areas of Topstone and Redding Ridge

Due to the limited size of my scanner bed, portions of the maps may not be shown. Please contact me with any questions.

Some of the surnames which are clearly printed are Jackson, Sanford, Anderson, Bradley, Mills, Burr, Maher, Lockwood, Banks and so many others it's impossible to list! Please note that due to the vast area that these maps cover, many of the homeowners names are quite small. Also indicated on the maps are schools, churches, cemeteries, railroads and rivers/streams.

This map would indeed make quite a conversation piece as well as an excellent gift for that person who has everything! Simply have it framed, gift wrap it and give instant pleasure.   What a great genealogical treasure to be able to locate the homes of one or more of your ancestors!  Multiple purchases can be combined for one shipping charge! Please check out my other listings for many other fine old town maps!
