Matt Sewell’s Penguins and Other Seabirds Limited Edition Collection

Product Code: UF70
Issue Date: 24/03/2016

This highly-collectable Isle of Man Post Office exclusive includes not only Matt Sewell’s new book but also our Seabirds Sheetlet and a very special envelope and is individually numbered and signed by Matt.

Matt's latest book, from publisher Penguin Random House, is an enchanting illustrated guide to penguins and seabirds around the world. The renowned artist and ornithologist showcases fifty species of the world's most loved bird – penguins – and other sea bird favourites including puffins and albatrosses. Combining his familiar and distinctive watercolour paintings with his whimsical profiles of each species, Matt expresses the individual characters of seabirds as never before.

We worked with Matt to create a ten stamp issue and among the species he selected were three seabirds - it is those designs (Puffin, Cormorant and an exclusive Manx Shearwater) which feature on the Seabirds Sheetlet which stars in this special collection.

Also included is a limited edition foil postmarked numbered first day cover envelope which showcases the full set of ten vibrant and colourful Matt Sewell’s Birds stamps and contains a charming commentary by the artist himself.

This joyful signed edition of Matt's book is limited to 500 highly collectable slip-cased copies and is a wonderful collectable for any fan of Matt's work or anyone who shares his love of birds.

Matt, who has featured on BBC TV's Springwatch Unsprung and Countryfile, has had his work featured in publications, books and exhibitions worldwide, and this special edition of Penguins and Other Seabirds is set to become an instant rarely-spotted best seller.
