Custom Paints Inc Metal Flakes are the HIGHEST grade you can buy, there are ultra thin, easy to smooth out and have outstanding sparkle. Our Metal Flakes are solvent proof and wont fade in sunlight as they have a high uv coating on them. we have had 1000s of customers use our flakes and continue using us all the time. Apply our Metal Flakes over any base color to produce a real custom effect. The Metal Flake can be added to solvent or water based Lacquers, Clear base coats and Varnish.

Metal Flake Aerosol Cans

Our award winning Metal Flake is available in a Aerosol can. Our Aerosol cans give high output with excellent atomization and high transfer efficiency with no pressure drop during application. Using our aerosol cans saves you time & labor with no paint mixing or Spray gun cleaning.

To get the best result from our Metal Flake aerosol cans we recommend using our 2K CLEAR-COAT CANZ. 2K CLEAR-COAT CANZ is the best 2k aerosol on the market!!

Metal Flake Application:

Apply Custom Paints Inc Metal Flake over any base color to produce a real custom effect. We recommend adding the Metal Flake to our Flake Carrier but you can add them to a Automotive solvent or water based 1k or 2k Clearcoat, Clear base coats and Clear Varnish. Depending on how heavy you want the flake effect, will depend on how much you will need.

• Start by prepping your project as you would any other paint job. (Sand, Prime, etc.)
• Apply 2-3 coats of Base coat.
• Add the Metal Flake to a Clear base coat or lacquer and stir well.
• Apply the Metal Flake until you get the effect you desire. Always spray test panels before spraying you product or project to see the effect you desire.
• Apply our 2k Show Clear until the Metal Flake is fully covered and you have full Gloss.

Spray Gun Size for Metal Flake:

(SMF) Small Flake is our fine cut flake at .004 x .004 hex. SMF flake size can be sprayed through most large size tip airbrushes, as well as HVLP full and detail sized spray gun equipment with a 1.0 nozzle set-up or larger. SMF lays down much flatter then MMF, LMF and XMF so it's easier to finish with clear.

(MMF) Medium Flake is our medium cut flake at .008 x .008 hex. MMF flake size has a sparkling brilliance that is easy to use.MMF can be sprayed out of HVLP and conventional spray equipment with a minimum of 1.5 nozzle set-up or larger.

(LMF) Large Flake is our large cut flake at .015 x .015 hex. LMF flake size has double the amount of sparkling brilliance of the LMF and has been used in the custom market for many years. LMF can be sprayed out of HVLP and conventional spray equipment with a minimum of 1.8 nozzle set-up or larger.

(XMF) Extra Large Flake is our extra large cut flake at .025 x .025 hex. XMF is an extreme size flake gives a extreme amount of sparkle. XMF can be sprayed out of HVLP and conventional spray equipment with a minimum of 2.2 nozzle set-up or larger.

Most orders are shipped within 24 to 48 hours of receipt of payment. Orders received on weekends & holidays may require additional shipping time. We ship our orders with UPS GROUND or USPS. Be aware of some cheap Metal Flake, Pearls and Paints on eBay as many won't be covered by any warranty, Custom Paints Ltd ensures that all products manufactured exceed market expectations and are made using only the highest quality materials available. Custom Paints Inc are able to give you a quality product with full backup and guidance on applying our products. Many of our Paint colors are available in water base. Please call us if you have any questions on our water based products.

Returns Policy:

Custom Paints Inc will accept returned items but items must be returned with in 14 days unused and sale-able condition. All items must be returned with out the bottle or tin being opened. Please contact us before returning any items. Thank you.
