We are offering a brand new, in the box with tags (never worn) Reactor 41mm Atlas Black Dial Stainless Steel Bracelet Watch with 8 Layers Superluminova, Model 45007. Please buy with confidence as we are one of the few authorized Reactor dealers selling on eBay.

Time Visions Comments

Reactor extends the his and hers concept to a true water sport watch with Atlas. Inspired by the Reactor Poseidon, but in a very comfortable-wearing 41mm case size, Atlas is a perfect go-to watch for daily wear that goes in the pool or spa as easily as it goes into the depths of the sea. The classic black colored dial is exceptionally well protected by the K1 hardened high ceramic glass which is significantly more shatter resistant than Sapphire but still offers much of its scratch resistance. The offset crown will screw down to the case to provide scuba-diving level water resistance for this timepiece. This watch is depth tested to 200 meters/660 feet, water sealed with Reactor’s triple o-ring screw down crown system, and utilizes a free floating lug system for a comfortable fit on any wrist. The forged 316L stainless steel case houses a tough and accurate Miyota quartz movement that was carefully selected based on its accuracy and shock-resistance properties. The hands and arabic numeral hour markers are coated with an immense eight layers of Superluminova, giving this watch an incredible nighttime glow. Make sure to check out our original video of this watch to see the "lume" in action! The case is secured with a comfortable and sharp-looking 3-link stainless steel bracelet.

Reactor's unique and innovative "Second Life" packaging contains the instruction manual plus the two year manufacturer's warranty. These are located under the magnetic lid along with extra bracelet links, should your wrist happen to be larger than average. We've included original photos and a video of the model we are selling. If you have ANY questions regarding this watch, please drop us an email for a quick response.

Reactor DNA

Every Reactor watch shares a set of engineering criteria that Reactor has branded its “DNA.” These features are built into every watch Reactor makes, and they’re what we at Time Visions believe gives Reactor not only a superior build quality, but a superior value.

  • All cases are forged from solid marine grade type 316L stainless steel or titanium for the ultimate in strength or corrosion resistance. Forged, is the key word here. Virtually all watches in this price point are made in cast-case molds, a process that can result in air pockets and weak points in the finished product. Reactors are forged out of solid blocks of stainless steel or titanium. If the case of a watch isn’t tough, not much else matters.
  • Bands are attached to the case with solid threaded screw-bars providing at least 500% higher strength than most competing watches. The most common way for a watch to break is for the strap or bracelet to separate from the case. Modern watches are often large and quite heavy, which will put tremendous pressure on the flimsy spring bars most watch manufacturers use. Even the best spring bars can only withstand about 35 lbs of force before giving out. Reactor watches utilize a solid threaded rod that completely penetrates the case/band interface. This system can withstand hundreds of pounds of pressure. Check out the video below of a Reactor Neutron pulling in an adult bull shark without failing at the bracelet! Think you could do this with a watch that uses a springbar? Not a chance.
  • Reactor’s exclusive screw down crown system stays water tight even when unscrewed. You can buy an expensive dive watch and literally flood the timepiece by washing the dishes. Yes, this does happen and we have seen it. Why does this occur? Most watches are only watertight when the crown and function pushers are tightly screwed down. Change the time or date and forget to screw the crown back down and your watch can be ruined the next time your hand goes in the water. Reactor's DNA eliminates this problem. With a triple O-ring system, a Reactor watch maintains 100 meters of water resistance, even with the crown unscrewed. This level of protection is extremely rare in the watch industry.
  • Casebacks are forged from the same high-grade material as the rest of the case for a perfect seal, even after a battery change. Some of the competitors at Reactor’s price range produce casebacks from sheet metal. This process makes them easy to bend or break and difficult to seal after a battery change which creates the possibility of leaks.
  • 8 Layers of Superluminova. Whether you are an EMT or another type of professional who needs to read the time at a glance, even in the dark, Reactor has a solution. The hands and hour markers on all Reactor watches have 8 coats of Superluminova applied. Superluminova is a chemical compound that absorbs energy from sunlight during daytime hours and emits it in the form of a glow during the night. At a commercial cost of $15,000 per pound, Superluminova is certainly not inexpensive. However, if you want to build a watch with the best luminosity available, you use Superluminova and plenty of it. Reactor watches simply have the brightest, longest lasting "lume" we have seen in any watch we have handled.
  • K1 hardened mineral crystals. These specially formulated mineral crystals are more scratch resistant than standard mineral and far more shatter resistant than a sapphire crystal. Reactor examined every available type of crystal technology in their efforts to build the very best performance sport watch. They chose K1 hardened mineral crystal even over Sapphire to deliver the most life-proof timepiece possible.

Reactor Packaging

Nearly every Reactor watch (with the exception of Limited Edition and Diamond watches) comes with Reactor's innovative "Second Life" package. The tough, weighted base turns the watch into a nice desk clock when not being worn (and keeps the watch from being tossed into a drawer) while the thickly padded cylinder transforms into the world's best can coozie, keeping your favorite beverage cold and condensation-free for hours. There is zero waste - nothing to be thrown away.

Reactor Warranty & Service

The Reactor warranty is simple and straight forward: if anything goes wrong with your Reactor watch in the first two years of ownership, Reactor will either repair or replace it at their expense. Normal wear and tear and abuse are not considered manufacturing defects and are not covered by the warranty. That's it. A warranty you don't need a law degree to understand. And after the warranty you get the same great service and same 48 hour turnaround, generally for $30 to $60, including return shipping. Virtually all other watch warranties only cover the movement of the watch. The Reactor warranty covers the entire watch which makes their warranty the best we have seen. Many companies talk about putting the customer first, but Reactor actually does it. When you call Reactor, a live human being answers the phone. When you send them a watch for repair, it is fixed and on its way back to you generally in 48 hours or less, and they pay the return shipping. Their repair center is located in their main offices in the US. They maintain a parts inventory that is unheard of in the industry, and the founder of the company personally handles any tricky repairs. This is the way customer service should be.
