 DORA LEITH ALBUM

MID 19TH CENTURY

Dora Leith was probably from the distinguished Edinburgh family and in common with many educated young ladies collected prints, watercolours and drawings in an album.  She started her collection in 1836, as stated on its frontispiece, and continued it seriously for about 20 years.   A few items were added up to circa 1890.  We are offering most singly

This item is a pencil drawing of a footbridge over a stream.    It is signed Elizabeth on its original mount, which has been retained.     It is in fine condition.

Size 3 1/4" x  x 4 3/4" (9cm x 12cm)
