It will not work if improperly placed and it is not a magic fix for any issue. This can repair worn out button contacts ONLY. It will not fix dead remotes, circuit board failures, bad antennas, base receiver problems, etc. Button issues cannot shorten the range of your remote, buttons either work or they do not work. You can return this item but PLEASE DO NOT claim the item does not work, defective, not as described, etc...
