A Stunning Example Of A UK Found Neolithic Flint Knife


Description - A Flint Neolithic Knife Dating To The Period c. 4000 - 2701 BC. The Knife Has Been Soft Hammer Struck A Small Striking Platform And Low Bulb Of Percussion. It Retains Traces Of Cortex (<5%) On The Dorsal Surface. One Mesal Surface Exhibits A Combination Of Long Crossed Abrupt Scaled Flaking, The Other Mesal Edge Exhibits Long Scaled Low Angle Flaking.


The Flint Is A Glossy Dark Grey Colour, With Very Little Recortication.
