USONA GOODWIN ANTIQUE PORCELAIN PORTRAIT VASE .

Antique Portrait Vase  of Queen Louise  Germany-Prussia

THIS HAND PAINTED FULL LENGTH PORTRAIT IS   OF QUEEN LOUISE, IN A LONG FUR CAPE. THE BACKGROUND OF THE VASE  IS IN SHADES OF DEEP GREEN, OCHRE, GOLD AND  RED MAHOGANY.

"Queen Louise oF Prussia  rode among the Prussian soldiers wearing a Colonel's coat and waving a Prussian banner.
A beautiful and fashionable young woman, her popularity is very similar to that of Diana, Princess of Wales and the Austrian Empress Elizabeth. She was probably the most famous and well-loved queen consort in German history. She was Queen Louise of Prussia, wife of King Frederick William II of Prussia.

Queen Louise was quite an eccentric and had several pomeranian dogs which she would hide about her person when visiting abroad which caused problems when travelling through customs (which she usually did under the pseudonym "Countess of Gripsholm" or "Mrs Olsson")."
