1935-36 Rhode Island Reds vs. Boston Cubs Program

Rhode Island Auditorium, December 25

24 pages - very good condition.  There's a crease down the center of the program and curls on the top and bottom right tips of the covers and pages.  The date of the game is noted in pen on the top left corner of the back cover.  The program is bound tightly and is clean and intact.

1935-36 Rhode Island Reds program - This is a great program from the Christmas night battle between the Reds and Boston Cubs at the Rhode Island Auditorium in 1935.  Rhode Island player-coach Al "Battleship" Leduc is pictured on the front cover.  Inside, there are photos and brief biographical sketches of the Reds, and there are some interesting names in both lineups.  Future NHL Hall of Fame player and coach Hector "Toe" Blake was a center for the Reds, and Paddy Byrne was the Rhode Island netminder.  The Cubs also had a pair of future Boston Bruins Hall of Famers - Woody Dumart and Bobby Bauer, and Jack Portland was on the Boston blueline.

The program has a notes column, a Can-Am League directory and a number of photos of the old Auditorium.
