Up for auction is a Patented Jan. 3, 1905 Wright & Ditson Boston Mass Championship Tennis Racket with Gut Strings. Printed on one side of neck is: "Trade Mark Wright & Ditson Championship Reg. U.S. Pat. Off. Made in USA." On the other side: "Wright & Ditson Boston Mass. U.S.A." One side of the neck reads: "Patented Jan. 3, 05." "MI" initials are carved into the handle. There are traces of the leather on the butt of the handle remaining. Total weight is .76 lb., 26 3/8" long, handle is 15 1/8" long and the head width is 8 3/4".

- This old tennis racket frame is in good, strong, square condition. 5 of the middle vertical gut strings are broken and one horizontal string is broken.
