I'm offering this 1978 Les Paul Artisan Tobacco Sunburst classic. This guitar represents the top of the line workmanship at the height of the Norlin years at Gibson. These were made with the hearts and flowers fretboard and headstock inlays of the pre 1940 Gibsons- in my opinion the most beautiful and finest playing Les Paul version- if you've never played one of these you owe it to yourself to check it out.

Its outfitted with the original mega hot Series 7 Humbuckers (Gibson's answer to Dimarzio @ 16.40K neck and 17.06K  bridge) and a Super Humbucker (wired out of phase) in the middle-
this baby has tone like no other Paul ever made. At the middle toggle position it gives you neck and middle out of phase PU for a very distinctive honk a la Thin Lizzie. It really is the ultimate Rock and Roll / Metal machine.

This is why you get a vintage guitar- gorgeous ambering of the binding and inlays, genuine play wear on the slim neck with worn out finish at the A and C positions, no cowboy stuff here. All set up perfectly with new Daddario 10s, blazing fast feel with the action ridiculously low- unbelievable sustain all the way up and down the neck with zero buzzing or fretting out. Original frets in great shape, those beautiful flat and fat type that are so sweet digging into.

No cracks or breaks. Weight comes in right at 10 lbs, comes with the beautiful red lined original Gibson case.

It has a gold Bigsby utilizing the genius Vibra Mate which secures to the stoptail stud mounting holes and the strap button hole, attaching the Bigs so there are no extra holes drilled in the top- if you want, remove it and it will return to complete original spec (see last pic)- but this setup just screams rock and roll from the heavens (and added value of about $400 there) with tremelo such a huge part of R&R tradition- of course the original TP-6 fine tuning bridge and tail studs is included in the case pocket (along with the original pickguard) for purists.

Please contact me with any questions or requests, Im happy to help get this killer into a great players hands.
