DESCRIPTION: Vintage Jaeger 4 day clock for Delage Renault Citroen Daimler Bugatti Vauxhall
A very nice vintage 1930s Jaeger 4 day automobile clock. Regarded as one of the best automobile clocks that were ever produced the Jaeger car clocks were used on a variety of the best English and European marques including the vintage Bentley, Delage, Daimler, Riley, Lagonda, Alvis, Talbot, Hispano Suiza, Bugatti, Vauxhall etc. This vintage Jeager clock is in generally good solid original condition and is in good working order. The dial reads "4 Jours, Jaeger, Paris, Fabrique en Suiisse" ie 4 days, Swiss made. The clock is wound up by turning the knob on the top. The time is set by pulling out this knob and turning it. The clock has survived the years in solid order showing general wear from use. The glass is in good condition. The aluminum casing and bezel are good with minor surface marks and wear. The hands are good. The face shows some marks and also some scuffs, scratches and surface wear. While the clock remains in good working order we would recommend a professional clean and service as this clock would not have been serviced in many decades. The clock measures approx 3 1/4 inches wide across the face including the bezel.
