The name Ernie Ball has long been associated with rock and roll and electric guitars. A pioneer in the field of guitar accessories and musical instruments, he opened the world's first electric guitar store in 1958. In the early 1060's, Ernie Ball pioneered the use of custom string gauges and the famous Slinky line of electric guitar strings was born! Today, they are used by some of the most famous guitar players in the world including Steve Vai, John Mayer, Brad Paisley, Eric Clapton and Steve Morse.
