The CAMLINK CVC100 will enable you to transfer and copy the cine films and other media using a video camera or Camcorder onto VCR/VHS or digital movie camcorder thus enabling the user to preserve and if required manipulate the recordings to present them in a different format for other uses. A popular use is for editing together small reels of home movies to make a master recording on say VHS, DVD or a computer hard drive.
The CamLink can be used to transfer from: Cine film (ie 8mm, Super8 and 16mm), Up to 6 x 4in size photographic prints and 35mm transparancy slides.
The unit is self-contained and its operation is very simple and is best described as coupling the film projector to display an image on the CamLink's small screen and postioning a camcorder into the optical viewing aperture (lens). A changeover switch is provided to switch between movie/slide and photographic modes. The unit is either free-standing or may be raised and height adjusted on a detachable base. Also a seperate adjustable table tripod is provided to attach the camcorder to enable the unit and camcorder to be at matching heights.
A internal small tube light is fitted for use only when copying photographs and this may be powered by internal batteries or an optional seperate power unit. A 35mm slide carrier and a photographic backing plate is also provided.
