An antique signed fluted phoenix and peony bowl.
This
amazing antique bowl is hand painted all around. The decoration is
vibrant and extremely beautiful. It depicts a phoenix with flames coming
from it's beak alternating with a large peony. Inside there is a lotus
blossom flower painted at the bottom of the bowl.
It is signed
on the base with a six character mark in underglaze blue. The
foot of the bowl shoes the unglazed porcelain biscuit.
The fluted design is executed beautifully and is very delicate.
The
bowl measures 6 1/8" in diameter at the top and has a height of 3
5/16". The foot of the bowl itself measures 2 3/8" across (155mm x 84mm,
60mm).
It is in excellent condition with no chips, repairs or other damage.
The workmanship is exquisite.
This
is a gorgeous Qing Dynasty Chinese bowl which would make a
beautiful gift for someone special or a treat for anyone who collects
genuine Chinese antiques.
