Our statue is based on the sculpture known as <<The Rape of Polyxena>>

<<The Rape of Polyxena is a marble statue located in the Loggia dei Lanzi in Florence, Italy’s Piazza della Signoria. It was sculpted by Pio Fedi in 1868, but it was placed alongside several sculptures from the Renaissance, an immense compliment to his work. This scene is of the Greek hero Achilles’s abduction of Polyxena, the daughter of the King of Troy. Achilles has just killed two of Polyxena’s brothers and was about to carry their bodies away. Polyxena tries to stop him and offers herself in return of her brother’s body. Here Achilles is seen stepping over one of the dead brothers and carrying the damsel Polyxena away while her mother pleads and begs him to leave her daughter. Achilles does not. The story takes a turn after this event. Achilles has fallen in love with Polyxena and she reciprocates as well. He shares with her his only weakness- his heel. She is torn between her love and loyalty to her family. She chooses loyalty and tells her brother Paris about the great hero’s one weakness. Paris kills Achilles by shooting an arrow to his heel.

Material & Manufacture process: Cast Marble

Cast Marble statues are made from a composite material in which natural crushed Greek Marble stone is mixed with a small quantity of resin that works as a glue.  The mixture is then poured into a mold of the statue design. Because the powder is so fine the smallest details can be reproduced using this method. Over 90% of the finished sculpture is natural crushed Greek Marble stone, which gives it a look and feel of solid natural marble. All sculptures are finished by hand to ensure the finest quality. This strong material is water and weather resistant, doesn't have bubbles, will not crack, and can be washed with most cleaning agents.

Please note: Our statues are not carved. 100% Natural marble statues are hand carved and command a very hefty price. Our product offerings are intended to be affordable to the majority public.

Minor pits and internal cracks on the surface are normal.

HANDLING TIME

We ship our orders within 1-2 business days after receiving your verified payment (Excluding Weekends and Public Holidays).

 

ESTIMATED DELIVERY TIME

In-stock items - We ship the product directly from our warehouse. The estimated delivery time given by the carrier is within 3 to 8 business days after the postal date.

Express Delivery (1-3 business days) - For an additional charge available only for EUROPE buyers. 

 

RETURN POLICIES

Our return policy is 14 days return or exchange. All returns must include all original items, original packaging, undamaged, unused and in re-saleable condition. Customers are responsible for return shipping costs. Shipping and handling fees are absolutely non-refundable.

If 14 days have gone by since the delivery of your purchase, unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund or exchange.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging (outer and inner protections).

In cases we are unable to identify you as the buyer, in order to complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.

Please do not send your purchase back before we have reviewed your return case. In many cases, courier companies only require pictures of the damaged package and item in order to close a damage claim in our favor.

There are certain situations where only partial refunds are granted (if applicable):

 

CUSTOM DUTIES

International Buyers – Please Note:

a.    Import duties, taxes and charges are not included in the item price. These charges are the buyer’s responsibility.

b.    Please check with your country’s customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to buying.

c.    There are not import taxes for transactions between E.U. countries. 

 

PROFESSIONAL PACKING 

We take extra care in safely packing our fragile items to ensure safe delivery. We ship decades of packages daily. We can ensure you that you will receive your order intact as so many other buyers of ours internationally. If nevertheless the item will be damaged in transit a replacement will be provided. 

 

RETURN SHIPPING
You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs when returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. Items sent as "Free Shipping" will also require you to pay for return shipping. If you receive a refund and the return was paid by us, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund. 

In the cases of being our company at fault, please contact us as soon as possible in order to start the claim process with the shipping insurance.

 

CANCELLATIONS (IF APPLICABLE)

Please contact us as soon as possible if you would like to cancel your order.

In the majority of cases cancellations are free of charge and eligible for a full refund. 

Cancellation is not possible if:

-Item was shipped including pre-transit period in which shipping company is given the order to pick up and custody.
-Item is customized (including any bespoke customization such as material, color, size or form).

 

WRONG ADDRESS & UNDELIVERABLE PACKAGES

- All items will be shipped to buyer's registered shipping address. Please double-check your shipping address before you place your order.

- If your item was shipped to the wrong address, it would be returned to us and return shipping costs will be charged. 

Shipping costs are paid by receiver, except for items sent as "Free Shipping" for which receiver only pays for return cost. 

We can ship the item out again for you upon receiving the item back in the mail but we will need to charge the Standard shipping rates to post the order again

-Unclaimed packages will not be refunded.
