Vintage Sears, Roebuck & Co. USA Red Black Plaid Hunting Field Jacket Mackinaw Cruiser Buffalo L / XL

This is a vintage Sears, Roebuck & Co. USA hunting jacket - MADE IN USA. Features include a two-piece sleeve for a roomier fit, two outer snap pockets, plus two hand warmer pockets. There is a also back stowage pocket originally designed to put game in.

Sears, Roebuck & Co. also known simply as Sears, is an American chain of department stores founded back in 1886 and are still trading today. This hunting jacket was made specifically for their stores.

The traditional hunting coat originated in the 1800s and is still as popular today. The rugged wool shell helps ward off the fiercest weather. It's not only warm, but it sheds water, and the tight weave keeps out the cold.

Used and in fair to good vintage condition with general signs of wear and abrasion throughout. There is a mark near the left welt pocket and some larger dark marks to the inner hem. The inner back neck lining has a small hole and there have been some stitch repairs to the internal armpit lining. Not quite perfect but still a great looking vintage jacket. This is quite a heavy jacket approximately 2kg.

Size: There is no size label and I would class as L / XL (UK Sizing) based on the 50” full external chest measurement and the overall fit - but it depends how loose you like to wear (please see below for all key measurements to check against a similar garment of your own to ensure a good fit).
