Please note: - This adapter does not have added optics and therefore does not allow infinity focus. It's therefore better suited for close-up and portrait work. - M42 lenses only work in manual mode and cannot be controlled electronically from a Nikon camera. Focus and aperture need to be set from the lens itself. The camera's auto-focus, aperture control and all other programmable modes will not operate when used with a M42 lens. - This adapter will not fit the Nikon-1 interchangeable lens compact cameras or T2 screw lenses. Atempting to mount an T2 lens on a M42 mount and vice-versa will damage the thread of both the lens and the mount.
