Product Description

The G3Ferrari DELIZIA pizza oven is the best solution for anyone who wants to make home-made pizza.

Very easy to use, it can bake home-made or frozen pizzas in only 5 minutes thanks to the high cooking temperature.

IMPORTANT

The stone cooking surface on this oven is absorbent by design.   It is designed this way so that it removes water from the dough mixture during cooking creating a crispy base in the Italian Pizza style.   A side effect of this is that the base will discolour during use – it will not stay in the white colour after you have made a couple of pizzas on the unit.    This is completely normal.

Tips

Particularly when new, the pizza base can sometimes stick to the stone during cooking – especially if it is a wet mix.   You can avoid this by using a sprinkle of semolina on the base before cooking.

Try to avoid allowing any of your toppings to spill onto the base – especially cheese since the fat from the cheese will also be absorbed and make the cooking plate turn black.   Whilst this doesn’t affect the cooking process you will find that it will create smoke (like a hot frying pan) as it burns the fat off.  It will take a few uses to do this.

Cleaning

Don’t use any detergents on the stone when cleaning it.   Any solids can be scraped off and then the base can be wiped with a slightly damp cloth.  You will never get the stone back to the original white colour

Cooking a Pizza

There are three main things to consider when cooking your Pizza.   These are;

The Bottom Element / Cooking Stone.   The stone will make the base of the Pizza Crispy by drawing out the moisture.   The cooking stone will retain heat but takes a little while to get up to temperature

The Top Element.   This will cook the top of your pizza.   The heat is almost instant and will not be retained.

The Thermostat.   This is situated on the top of the oven and will react to the overall temperature in the oven.

The way you use the oven will depend on how you like your Pizza cooked;

We like the following process but it will be up to you to experiment to get the result you want.   It will of course depend on the thickness of the Pizza and how much topping is used.

Turn the pizza oven on and set the thermostat to 2 in order to pre-heat the stone.   Close the lid and leave for 2 minutes.

Open the pizza oven for 2 minutes to allow time for the thermostat to re-set and turn the oven up to 3.   This will allow the top element to warm up.

Put in your pizza and cook for around 4 minutes

A few other tips (or how not to use the oven);

If you heat up the oven in a closed position then open it a put the pizza in this will result in a very crispy base and an uncooked top because the thermostat will have turned off the top element but the stone will still have the retained heat.

If you put the Pizza in the oven and then turn it on, this will result in an uncooked base and an overcooked top because the stone will not get up to temperature as quickly as the top element.

As we’ve mentioned before – to get the result you want will take a little trial and error but once you’ve perfected your method the G3Ferrari will cook Restaurant Quality Pizzas.
