Vintage Gloverall Nauticalia Navy Blue Wool Reefer Pea Coat Jacket Made In England M / L

In 1950 after the end of World War II, H&F Morris purchased a large amount of surplus military duffle coats which quickly sold out – this prompted the beginning of Gloverall. Expanding the business from exclusively duffle coats to producing car coats and reefer jackets they quickly established themselves as a leader in British casual outerwear.

Traditionally worn by officers on the bridge, this classic British Reefer is made from a wool blend melton cloth and is fully lined. Featuring 2 jetted hand warmer pockets and lower flap entry pockets, 6 anchor button front DB fastening, along with a top button to fasten the collar and keep out the cold.

This is in good vintage condition throughout with general signs of wear and abrasion throughout, in particular to the edges of the collar and pocket entry. Please see all images.
