This listing is for a piece of original matrix from a fossil bed that contained many Psittacosaurus skeletons of various ages. This section of matrix has been stabilized to preserve the bones as they were found. In this matrix block there are a few vertebra visible as well as what I am assuming is part of the sacrum (pelvis). The fossils could be further excavated or left in the matrix which already makes a beautiful display.
Fossils from this species are becoming more and more rare and when you do see them for sale they are typically an entire skeleton so don't miss out on this opportunity! I have some other pieces like this which I will be listing over the following weeks as well.
The age is Early Cretaceous between 100-120 million years old.
