V GOOD ANTIQUE 19TH C NORWEGIAN BENTWOOD WOODEN TREEN TINE TINA BOX DATED 1888 |
It may be a little late but I'd like to wish everyone a Happy New Year. I am selling quite a few pieces this week but as my end of year bookkeeping dragged on for far longer than expected (doesn't it always) I will be listing the vast majority of things tomorrow, Friday 19th so please look back again if you have time. Sorry about that! PLEASE NOTE: This auction is in GB Pounds Sterling.
This one of several good antique Scandinavian boxes I am selling this week so please view my other auctions. This is a very well patinated bentwood example with the date 1888 branded into one side of the box along with numerous designs. I am selling it at a low starting price and with no reserve.
It is my policy not to end standard auctions early with a 'buy it now' and at the end of an auction I will not make second chance offers. Please read down the entire listing for Dimensions, Condition, Postage & Payment Details - most of the information you will need is here on this page but please get in touch if you don't find what you are looking for.
Condition & Dimensions |
Pretty good overall condition. A small repair to one end and the handle has a slight split in it. Other general wear and tear as per the photos e.g. old chip to the lid etc..
It measures a little over 24cms across.

Postage & Packing
|
For your peace of mind and mine items will be sent fully insured. I will be posting from WEDNESDAY 31ST JANUARY so please make payment as early as possible, ideally within 3 working days. PLEASE be a little patient with the post - I will get them posted asap but I work on my own, have a large amount to post and I do pack carefully. I also post in the order that things are paid for.Any delays by the postal services either at my end or abroad are rarely my fault. I always post out at the latest 3 working days after receiving cleared payment but sometimes an item is slowed up by a backlog of post or delayed whilst being processed through customs. To give you an idea it generally takes about 3-7 working days within Europe and 7 - 14 working days to the U.S. / rest of the world. If speed is of the essence then I can use a courier (Parcelforce) but prices for couriers start at around £30 / £40GBP for the very smallest object and VERY quickly escalate depending on size, weight and destination. I add on very little, often not enough to cover the packaging materials, so the price I quote really is as fair as possible. Thank you.
UK: 1st Class Recorded Delivery: £11 GBP.
UK: Special Delivery: £12 GBP.
Europe: Royal Mail Tracked & Signed / Signed: £15.30. This figure does not include £2.50 for insurance over £50 GBP. This is a signed for service which offers full or limited tracking (depending on your country).

This is a signed for service which offers full or limited tracking (depending on your country) and insurance. Please do not ask me to falsify customs documents, thank you.

***Any import duties or taxes applicable are payable by the Buyer. Please enquire with postage queries, requirements or any other questions you may have prior to bidding.***
Where possible I will of course combine shipping for multiple purchases (however if, for example, you win a walking stick and a box of some description this wouldn't be very practical!).
Payment Details (Important: Please Read) |

In the event of a recorded/traceable and insured item going missing in the post I will do everything in my power (provide proof of postage and evidence of value, etc.) to assist in obtaining a full refund from the postal service involved.
