Extremely Rare & Beautifully Engraved Solid Silver Victorian Scent Bottle. Fully hallmarked.

A superb solid silver Victorian scent bottle which has a stunning engraved design by the author Kate Greenaway and made by the much sought after silver maker Sampson Mordan.

The scent bottle is in excellent condition & was made in London in 1882.

The scent bottle has its original stopper, the hinged lid to the scent bottle works perfectly well and all hallmarks to the scent bottle are crisp and clear. The engraving to the cylindrical scent bottle designed by Kate Greenaway depicts young children fishing from the Kate Greenaway nursery rhyme;

The finest, biggest fish, you see
Will be the trout that's caught by me
But if the monster will not bite,
Why, then I'll hook a little mite.
