Olympic 50p Coins

IMPORTANT NOTE: Postage will be £1 for the first coin in your order, followed by 10p for each extra Olympic coin but eBay automatically charges £1 for each coin unless they are all of the same variety so, if you are buying more than one coin, please wait until I have sent you an invoice with the reduced postage total.

In 2011 the Royal Mint issued a series of 29 commemorative 50 pence designs to mark the sports of the London Olympic Games in 2012.

Each design features a different sport and collecting the full set has become such a popular public hobby that the Royal Mint sent out a press release as far back as 2012 to record that an estimated 70 per cent of the Olympic commemorative 50 pence coins had already been removed from circulation by collectors and this has become increasingly obvious as fewer and fewer are to be found in change.

This means that acquiring the full set from pocket change is becoming increasingly difficult as the number in circulation decreases. So I am offering you the chance to buy those coins you are missing.

Please excuse the quality of some of my listing pictures (the coins are better than my camera!) but I thought you would prefer an image of the actual coin you are buying rather than showing you (as some others do) a perfect picture lifted from a website. The fact that some pictures aren't great because you can see the reflection of the camera proves that A) I'm a rubbish photographer and B) The coins really are THAT shiny.

• Boccia (wheelchair bowling) there's three of these left

• Equestrian (sorry but the last one I have available shows some soiling from its time in circulation)

• Handball - got one in my change at the butchers (first one I'd seen in ages but, sorry, it sold in May!)

All are in reasonable to good condition with minimal evidence of circulation.
