What is BadUSB?
this concept represents the manipulation of a USB’s firmware with the intent to jeopardise a computer’s security.
In other words, its a Device with USB connectivity (looks like a legit Disk-On-Key!) that can type command to any computer with usb port!
This USB got the same functionality as the Rubber-Duck!
Cool, what can I do with it?
Well…everything you can do with a keyboard - extremely FAST!
upload a virus, redirect internet traffic, pretend to be a keyboard to manipulate sensitive files, create a simple to use shell-just upload the attacking ip address to the BadUSB software, connect the BadUSB to the victim computer- and YOU ARE IN!
Other purposes is to type things fast, for example use it to enter credentials for your accounts.
The options are endless!
Do I need to be a programmer in order to use it?
Absolutely no! This is very easy to use with the right guide.
You will need to upload new code to the device with the commands you want to preform but other than that everything is straight forward.
Im not sure I can get it up and running by myself..
