For sale is a Seiko World Time watch, reference 6117-6400. The serialnumber places production of the watch to December of 1969, shortly after theline was launched in 1968. Watch is in excellent condition and movement wasjust serviced and running very well. Watch comeswith an original folded-stainless steel Seiko bracelet in good condition with no missinglinks, etc. The internal world time bezel contains the “error” where GMT and London arean hour apart, thought to be from a period when the British Government decidedto have London time ahead of GMT. Case is crisp with no polishing and just a few signs of wear,consistent with its age. Dial is a dark gray linen, lume on hands match indices(paint on red GMT hand is partially missing at base), with orange 24-hour ringand orange accents on world-time bezel. Crown functions are working, includingworld time bezel movement, and has quick-set date feature. Overall watch wears very comfortably on the wrist despite its larger size. This watch is a true stand out in this particular reference.
