This newly re-released 1997 Challenge Coin is from the United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) in Tampa, FL.  This special coin commemorates USSOCOM's 15-year Anniversary.

This Command oversees the U.S. Special Operations worldwide comprising of the United States Army Special Operations Command (USASOC), Naval Special Warfare Command (NAVSPECWARCOM), Marine Corps Special Operations Command (MARSOC), Air Force Special Operations Command (AFSOC) and the Joint Special Operations Command (JSOC).  This coin comes in a protective plastic holder.

The coin weighs 2.0 oz and the diameter is 2".
