Offered for your consideration is an fine older 5-Star series forged utility/sandwich knife from Zwilling J.A. Henckels. This knife was made in Solingen, Germany and is not from Henckels international line. It offers full measures of the fine quality and performance that have made the Henckels knife one of the world's most sought after when it comes to high-end, high performance cutlery. This is model number 30040--160 and it retailed for over $90.  I'm offering this example at a discounted price due to the minor tip issue.

This is a highly versatile size that's well-suited for a wide range of common tasks.  The knife has seen light to moderate use and remains in very nice, original condition with lots of life left.  The blade has been lightly sharpened and it's free of errant grind marks or harsh sharpening abrasions with just some scattered fine, hairline abrasions as shown.  The etched markings remain fully visible and bold with great contrast against the finish.  The edge is free of any dings, chips, cracks, or damage and remains nice with just some normal light wear as shown.  It remains fairly sharp and the knife is ready for immediate use, although a quick touch-up would have it razor sharp in no time.  The tip has a very slight blunting/burr as shown.  The spine is free of any dings, dents, marring, or damage.  This model has a moderate blade taper with the forged, ice hardened blade offering just a bit of smooth flexibility over about the first third of its length.  The handle is the solid, dense resin type and remains very nice with no problems. The handle is free of any cracks, chips, or heat damage and it offers a firm, comfortable grip.  It's free of any stains or discoloration.

The knife measures 12" in overall length.

This piece would make a great replacement or spare for someone with a set. Of course, it would also be great as a stand-lone knife for anyone who appreciates fine German cutlery.

A very nice, original example of this premium-quality German-made Henckels!!
