Vintage Avirex Distressed Brown A-2 Bomber Flying Flight Aviator Pilot Leather A2 Jacket L

Originating from the U.S. Army Air Force leather suppliers union in New York in the 1930s, AVIREX officially registered its brand trademark in 1975. AVIREX designs and produces flight jackets, strictly adhering to the original jacket designs World War II pilots wore. The name ‘AVIREX’ comes from two latin words: avis – volatile, aviation and rex – king, this term was chosen to indicate the high quality level of materials and the craftsmanship of the production.

The Type A-2 leather flight jacket is an American military flight jacket originally invented and developed for and closely associated with World War II U.S. Army Air Force pilots, navigators and bombardiers.

MADE IN USA.

Used and in fair to good vintage condition with signs of wear, abrasion, marks and discolouration throughout. Please see all pictures. If you are looking for a distressed looking vintage A-2 then this is the one for you.

Size: The label states 42 and I would class as L (UK Sizing) with a 48" full external chest measurement and the overall fit - but it depends how loose you like to wear (please see below for all key measurements to check against a similar garment of your own to ensure a good fit).

Fabric: 100% Leather. This is a very soft mid-weight leather.
