Momordica charantia, known as bitter melon, bitter gourd, bitter squash, or balsam-pear, is a tropical and subtropical vine of the family Cucurbitaceae, widely grown in Asia and other country.  Sow seeds 1/4" deep in 3 in pots with quality soil based seed compost.  Keep moist till emerge.  Pictures they are from my own garden and harvest.
