You get a snug fit with no loss of signal due to improper or mismatched connections! This plug connects to the end of your stock aftermarket antenna wire, and goes to the antenna input on your stock OEM radio
When & Why Do I Need an Antenna Adapter? Most stock - OEM radio / tuners require a unique proprietary plug on the end of the antenna wire to fit into the radio. However, the end on a replacement / aftermarket antenna cable is a standard Motorola plug that will not fit into the stock radio. An Adapter is needed. Our adapter allows you to use the add-on radio even if your vehicle uses a proprietary antenna design. Featured below are examples of standard Motorola plugs. This piece is also used, along with it's companion OEM to Motorola female when using devices such as an FM Modulator.
