M43 is an American army ambulance car, developed by Dodge in 1951 by converting the M37 truck. Serial production of the vehicle continued until 1954. The M43 could carry up to four wounded fighters, accompanied by one or two medical personnel, with the basic support systems installed in the car. The car participated in the wars in Korea and Vietnam, where it proved its tremendous efficiency in transporting wounded personnel from field airfields to remote military hospitals. After the Vietnam War, the vast majority of the M43 was withdrawn from the army and resold to private owners. Currently, a large number of them participate in numerous military auto shows in the United States and other countries.
The model has an excellent design, as well as detailing and is designed for assembly by experienced modelers.
