A full set of 32 semi-precious stone chessmen, carved and polished, showing their natural color and texture.

DETAILS

The king of this set is approximately 3½ inches tall.
The set is made in a stylized Staunton pattern, familiar to all players of international chess.
The pieces are felted with a plush padding on the bottoms.
These sets weigh between 3½ and 4 pounds, the natural weight of the stone. This is equivalent to a heavily weighted 'triple weighted (+)' set of standard chessmen.
The set comes in the box shown, with dividers to keep the pieces from touching.

EXPERTLY CRAFTED

These chessmen are made in Pakistan by skilled craftsmen. You will find that there are several styles available (see other listings), made of a variety of semi-precious stones with some variation in carving style. 
Please note that the natural pattern of stone in this set, as seen in the photos, varies from one set to another; there may also be small differences in detail of workmanship.

BOARD NOT INCLUDED

These chessmen come as a full set of 32 pieces, but no board is included. It is recommended that they be played on a board with squares between 1½ and 2 inches. The bases of the pieces are just over 1 inch in diameter. You will find that these chessmen do well on many types of boards, made of wood, stone or other fine materials.
