The Visipad by Cyalume is a great alternative to the traditional 6-inch light stick. The pad has a vast array of different uses both emergency and tactical. This extremely flat and extremely light pad emits IR light for up to 8 hours and visible light for up to 10. Hooks, holes and a sticky back mean that you can mount a Visipad almost anywhere including on fabrics or by hanging them. Capabilities of this product include; IFF, room and compound clearing, evacuation, marking as well as SAR (Search & Rescue). Activation of the Visipad is simple and is done by bending the pad in two then massaging the pad to spread the light. Thanks to its design accidental activation is extremely unlikely.
