This hard to find VHD movie is not even in the LaserDisc DataBase yet!

I have not play-tested the disc. There is some bubbling on the sticker label.

This VHD movie comes from the collection of a former employee of VHD Programs, Inc.

If you have somehow found this listing without already knowing what it is, here is some basic information:

This extremely rare VHD movie is a disc stored in a protective caddy that can only be retrieved and played back with a VHD player, which is a device that never really made it to the public US consumer market. It is similar to a vinyl record except that it was among the first video disc formats; it could utilize features similar to what we see on modern disc formats such as 3D, multiple audio tracks, chapter skipping, etc.

Players of any brand or condition are very hard to come by in the USA, generally appearing on here once only every 4-6 months, and most models were made for use in Japan.

I've found VHD movies to be an interesting conversation/display piece; obscure artifacts and predictors of movie history and technology whose existence has been virtually invisible to the world.

This one was obtained from the estate of a former employee of VHD Programs, Inc. in Los Angeles- the company that attempted to bring the format to the USA in the early 1980s. Because of his work, he had lots of interesting pieces including VHD posters, factory sealed movies and other promo materials. See last photo for a sticker which was applied on one of the other movies from the movie library of his estate.

I do have his partially working JVC VHD player in my other listings but it is not playing discs. It is one of the few models that was designated for US release.
