Grand Funk Railroad Closer To Home authentic Capital Records US 1970 green label first
pressing SKAO - 471 promo.

Grand Funk Railroad sold out Shea Stadium in hours due to the release of this record, it’s
a brilliant album!

Anyone who witnessed this band live in 1970 in particular knows just how great they were live
in concert….They were the first band since The Beatles to play Shea Stadium, that's just how big
they were….Led Zeppelin refused to be on the same bill with them, after playing with them on the
same bill. The first time I saw them in April of 1970 my ears were ringing for four days.

Features “Sin’s A Good Man’s Brother” “Mean Mistreated” “Get it Together” and the CLASSIC “I’m
You Captain”.

The record grades Excellent or better there is some ultra light wispy sleeve removal marks nothing
serious whatsoever.

The gatefold record grades Excellent it does have a promotional hole punch and the inner grades Near
Mint it’s a really nice cover and seams and spine are fine (see scans).
