Growers often propagate the many variations of fig trees (30 species) within the family of ficus by taking cuttings. The edible fig tree (Ficus carica L.) is included within this list. The cutting then grows quickly and can produce edible figs within just two or three growing seasons. It is an economical way to reproduce fig trees while keeping the same genetic characteristics as the parent plant.

The cuttings have no roots

I send the thickest cuts I have. They have at least 3-4 nodes, most often a lot more.


The stakes are 1 or 2 year old wood. I cut them the day I ship them.


I wrap them in plastic folio.


I propose worldwide shipping with tracking number. And disclaiming all responsibility for the phytosanitary regulations of the destination country, you should be aware of the rules in your own country.
