Damage from studs on clothing and pet scratches are amongst the most common causes and long term bleaching from sunlight (UV) for sofa’s that are in direct sunlight resulting in the original manufacturers colour fading. All dyes are matched to manufactures leather samples.
All dyes are water based and have a built-in sealer so there is no need to apply a separate sealer.
Dyes can be dried using a hair dryer, so no need to wait.
Application can be by sponge or airbrush. Once dry, the colour is WATERPROOF and PERMANENT. IT WILL NOT COME OFF ONTO YOUR CLOTHES OR HANDS We have gathered information from over 40 manufactures with a colour bank list of approximately 15,000 colours.
Manufactures have various ways of identifying the colour of your sofa. This could be by Range, Colour Name or Code. Some have all three identifiers whilst others have only one. Finding your colour could be as easy as looking at the sales receipt information. If you do not have this then we suggest contacting the place of purchase.
**We will not be able to yell you what your colour is from images** If you are struggling to find any information about your sofa but can provide a sample (no smaller than 1”x1”) then we can offer a matching service FREE OF CHARGE. Some manufactures provide a swatch with sales paperwork or staple a sample of the material to the underside of one of the seats.
**Please do not send us cushions or large furniture pieces as we will not accept these. Sample matching will only be done using small swatch size samples and we do not offer a “Match while you wait service”** About Sofa Dye Sofa Dye is a part of Bespoke Leathering Ltd. The size of the colour bank is vast and while we try to keep all 40+ lists up to date there may be occasions where a sample we have on file has been exhausted and is no longer available.
In this instance we will contact you to let you know. If you can provide a sample to match too (not matching fee) please send it to our address provided in “Business Seller Information” at the bottom of the page, or if you would like us to cancel your order please let us know and we will issue a full refund. If a sample is being provided, please enclose any information about your sofa along with your eBay ID. This will help us following up on samples received.
**Please note**
If your sofa has two colours (a top finish and a base colour) and you would like both you will need to purchase two dyes. If you only purchase one dye, you will automatically be sent the top finish colour only unless otherwise stated at point of purchase.
