An antique African tribal resin fertility statuette. Depicting a pregnant woman holding a child in her arms with a child on her back, although the child in her arms has a slice missing which looks like old damage, possibly when it was being carved. She has 3 carved heads around her and a crocodile crawling across her belly. Nicely aged with a great patina, this statuette is the epitomy of mother earth. No idea of the tribe or what hardwood this is but should benefit from further research. She stands approx 20cm tall.
