Full-length training DVD, nearly 250 slides and video
This is an interactive training DVD that has multiple navigable screens (nearly 250) designed to assist in training to United States Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) Excavation (Subpart P) requirements. Material is suitable for adoption to many areas as "best practices". Developed originally under a 2005 OSHA Harwood Grant program, the disc is being offered at cost to support training initiatives wherever they may be needed. Value has been estimated by some to be $300-$400.
The DVD contains slides, video, and documents to help design and provide a training program for your own company or others. Intended to be instructor-led, the entire DVD and all of its parts can be presented in a 5-6 hour class, depending on your training approach, logistics, and time. It is easy to resume a class where left off, should you choose to divide the class into components.
Each section of the presentation has an interactive quiz, and the disc includes a PDF pre- and post- test and answer keys.
Also included on the DVD are:
Facilitator's Guide
Student Handbook
Excavation Checklist
Daily Trenching Log
OSHA regulations
Four "Fatal Facts" handouts
Testimonial Videos
Over 50 video clips, and a full-length (37 minutes) stand-alone video
Ten percent of every purchase will be donated to the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation
You can watch the included video for free here:

You will note on the YouTube site that this DVD is referenced - you are welcome to use the video from the YouTube site at no cost, but this DVD offers a great deal more information and flexibility in use. It can also provide you with the tools to provide "Competent Person" level training. (Completion of the training does NOT make you a Competent Person, only your employer can do that)
International shipping available, extra fees for customs, etc. apply. Delivery may take up to two weeks internationally.
Some of the comments we have received on the Video:
In response to receipt of
DVD:
I went through your training DVD with the quizzes and WOW, I am so impressed and can’t wait to show the training to our guys and girls!
This is so much more than I could have ever offered
myself. There seems to be a lack of in-depth training into the dangers of
working around excavations and trenches here in our area. I am just going
to double check that all the depths mentioned are the same for us in Canada!
In parts of Canada workers are required to take Ground
Disturbance 201, however it really only tells them the requirements, especially
for potential contact with utilities – doesn’t truly explain/show how to
achieve what they expect in terms of the entire excavation process, and the
other hazards that go with it. Your DVD really bridges that gap between the
legislated training and actually working with/in excavations and trenches.
