Breath-taking facial features! True show stopper! Spectacular costume, vibrantly tagged, “Ballerina, Madame Alexander, N.Y., U.S.A., ALL RIGHTS RESERVED,” in rear.

Karen wears a pink, net costume lined in pink taffeta in her bodice.  Each shoulder is embellished with a pink, silk ribbon bow.  Delicate, gold, metallic ric-rac embellishes her looped neckline, double rows of butterfly sleeves, and skirt (where it rises and falls into peaks and valleys).  Original, elegant, black velvet choker at the neck and hand ties. Three, square snap closure in rear.  Her flared skirt has 3 layers of net tulle!  Her waistline is accented with a cabbage rose and spring flowers corsage!

Underneath her dress, her crisp net tulle has some tiny holes here and there I’m sure.  ( This doll is in un-handled condition, which is why she is still in mint condition.)  Gently lifting her net tulle from underneath, I see no major rips or tears, or anything remotely like that.  (Actually this is the first time I’m handling this doll as she’s museum quality and I feel like I should have white gloves on or something).

Shiny, pink taffeta bloomers embellished with scalloped, Belgium Val Lace!

Super shiny, red, mohair wig with braiding across the crown of her head and coiling at the sides!  It’s embellished with the trademark, Karen Ballerina, pink cabbage roses (4) on either side!

Her silk ballerina shoes are excellent.

Vibrant feathered eyebrows, and lower painted lashes!  Thick, upper sable lashes!  Vibrant matte, cheek color and dark, Smokey eyes shadow!  Also, beautiful palm and knee color.  Composition is awesome due to the southern CA dry climate!  I don’t see any crazing which is very unusual.

Please forgive light reflections showing as white spots.
