This is a memorandum sent to Eric Walther (son of Fritz Walther) at the Walther factory on January 23, 1937, acknowledging his request for catalogs on the F.N. Browning Hi-Power 9mmP pistol. It is of historical importance to both collectors of Walther and Browning firearms. This memo was part of the contents of the Walther firearms factory that was captured by elements of the 3rd U.S. Army ordnance team in April, 1945. This team sent all the captured items back to Aberdeen Proving Grounds for examination by ordnance experts. I was fortunate enough to meet and become friends with one of the members of that team, his name being Col. Harold Burkette. I basically bought all the contents of Fritz Walther's desk, which contained many documents. I also purchased many rare parts and other items. Many of these have been sold to collectors and book authors over the years. Important document which would highlight any Walther pistol or F.N. Hi-Power pistol collection. German text. USA sales only.
