TM-D710 RC-D710

Thousands of cables sold worldwide!

Length approx 1.7m/5ft 6ins (if required, you can add a USB extension cable up to a total of 5m long).

Equivalent to Kenwood PG-5G cable + USB to serial adapter.

This handy cable allows control/programming of your Kenwood transceiver by your computer, for example by using MCP-2A programming software, available free on Kenwood's website.

One end of the cable has an 8 pin mini-DIN plug which connects to the COM or PC socket on the radio. The other end has a USB plug which connects to the PC's USB port. The cable contains a USB to serial converter, so the radio appears as a COM port on the PC.

Avoids driver problems often encountered with cheaper Prolific PL2303 cables, instead using the much better supported SiLabs CP2102 chipset and is guaranteed to work with the following operating systems:
  • Windows 11
  • Windows 10
  • Windows 8 and 8.1
  • Windows 7
  • Linux
  • Mac

32 and 64 bit operating systems are both supported.

Please note that a programming cable is not an audio interface for datamodes.

Fair postage.
Proof of posting obtained for all shipments. No packing charges. Orders received before 3 p.m. are normally posted on the same day (Mon-Fri).

UK seller - in stock, tested and ready for despatch.

Money back guarantee. If you are unhappy with your cable in any way, simply return it within 60 days for a refund.

Please check the availability of suitable software for your model of radio and that the software supports USB COM ports. The TM-D710 & TM-V71 Yahoo group is a good place to ask questions and get advice about software.
