These tubes are not treated with any of those snake oil treatments that compromise their natural sound. Beware of such treatments. We only sell tubes as they are intended to be used, right from the factory.

This listing is for (1) brand new, factory fresh Mullard 12AX7 Long Plate Dual Triode. These are new production by New Sensor. These are premium tubes and absolutely fantastic sounding. We tried them in our reference MC225s and the phono section of our MX-110, in place of the Telefunkens. We also substituted some NOS mullards. We were shocked at how good these re-issues are.   

These tubes are specially screened for low noise and low microphonics by the manufacturer. In addition we screen all small signal tubes, for gas, shorts, gm and microphonics as well. 

This tube is outstanding in Hi-Fi amps and preamps. Try them in your McIntosh MC240, MC225, MC275, C22, MX-110 or your Marantz 7C or ARC SP3A-1, SP6, and restore that classic sound.  Try them in your classic guitar amplifier as well, for that thick 60s sound with fast attack and decay.  Does it approach the original Mullard in sound?
