Lincolnshire by Thomas Kitchin printed in 1760

Copper engraved map on hand laid paper with later hand colouring.

Thomas Kitchin (1718 - 84) learnt his trade as an engraver with Emanuel Bowen.  He set up his own engraving and publishing business in the 1740's at the Star in London's Holbourne, but continued to work with Emanuel Bowen and with Thomas Jefferys.  This map was produced for the 'London Magazine' in about 1760.

Map area is in very good condition for age, engravings are clear. Hand colouring.
