17" • HUGE! Absolutely Gorgeous 🇷🇴 Made in Romania
Monumental, stunning, crimson red, clear and black-spot vase with green 'oil spots' rising from the bottom. This is the "Long Neck Amphora" floor vase from the Santa Fe Collection of Mihai Topescu. It is an elegant, cased (sommerso) piece, with a clear base and a black wrap accenting the opening. There is a very intriquing color shift towards the bottom--the net result is an olivine layered effect. Please review all high resolution photographs to form your own opinions. This is truly so much more beautiful in person than it shows in these photographs!

About the Artist Mihai Topescu 🇷🇴
Topescu graduated the Academy of Fine Arts "We. Andreescu”, Cluj, Romania in 1981. In 1985 he attended Kunst Academy Baden, Vienna, Austria.
Watching Topescu work is one of the most passionate experiences one can have. His collections bring memories of far away exotic places. A prolific artist Topescu’s works were shown in numerous exhibits and brought the artist international recognition. Awards:
1988: 1st prize, Romanian Ministry of Industry - Prize for Glass Design
1992: Silver medal, The American Interfaith Institute Prize, Philadelphia, USA
