This is a Sterling Silver Tiffany & Co. Pen and on it is engraved "The Manhattans" the story goes: One night in Jersey a gentleman was eating at an eatery late at night. He had no cash on hand to pay his bill for the food because he had misplaced his wallet, he was just about to start worrying when a gentlemen walked up to him and said "How much do you owe?". Shocked he turned around to see George Smith & Edward Bivens, he didnt recognize them at 1st and then George stepped up and paid for the mans food. Later in conversation the girl who was waiting tables came up and said "one of the gentleman left this pen behind" and handed to my friend whom still didnt know who it was. He looked at the pen and instantly knew it was no cheap piece. He placed it in his pocket and when he got home it was placed in his dresser, it stayed here until 2018. The gentleman passed and now today they were selling his goods at an estate sale! I managed to see the pen on the table and after picking it up was told the story and had to buy it. This very well could be George "Smitty" Smith or Edward "Sonny" Bivins Tiffany Pen!! No doubt this is a one of a kind piece and a museum piece for any musical collector! Pen has no dings or issues, just patina from age. As always please see photos for details of the exact item you're buying. My items are sold as is and no returns. I take pride in providing quality photos with a quality description to ensure no returns or confusion. If you have any questions just ask!!!
