A very rare publication by the U.S. Senate's Committee on Foreign Relations, titled "Tensions Within the Soviet Captive Countries - Czechosloviakia," released in 1954, the height of the Cold War.  Publication printed by the U.S. Government Printing Office for the 83rd Congress, 1st Session.  Booklet is part 4 of Senate Document 70, Tensions Within the Soviet Captive Countries.  Earlier parts of the series dealt with Bulgaria, Romania, and the Soviet Zone of Germany.  The entire book is 115 pages.  Speaks specifically to the loss of Czechoslovakia to communism and the impact of communist rule to democratic liberties.  A hard to find historical document from the U.S. Congress and the government's views on the perceived threat from World Communism.
